Winter Holiday Cards

There was some small interest in seeing other random crap that I do, so until I hop back out in the field, here's some holiday-type cards I've been working on. These are all made with scrapbooking papers and cardstock, various paper punches and commercial stamps and it's really only my second venture into cardmaking. Three more after the jump!

The snowflakes on the bottom  half actually glitter, but that's hard to scan. I wish I had managed to get the ribbon on there straighter.

Pretty basic. Coming up with ideas that are more generally winter than strictly Christmas is hard.

Still needs some sort of text down the dark part, but I can't seem to come up with anything I really like, and am definitely open to suggestions!

That's all for now, I have a few more on my desk, waiting to be finished.

  1. These look really great! Every card in this post is super inspiring and very nicely done. I bet the textures in person make them even neater.

  5. These are fabulous. You make the execution sound so simple, but I feel like your paper/texture/pattern choices make all the difference and bring a really gorgeous and unique aesthetic to a simple holiday gift. Nice job!

  6. I can't look at christmas cards like this without being reminded of the PeeWee Herman christmas special - the bit with Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon where he forces them to make hundreds of cards.

I have to say I'm starting to get really interested in Letter Boxing, stamps, and papercraft of this sort partially in thanks to you. I was at the craft store last weekend and saw a stamp I really liked for $1 so I bought it. And so it begins!!
